Worrier In Training?

I've always been the type of person to worry and express it where I can. And yes I am consciously aware that old saying 'worrying is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do but gets you nowhere'. Its a struggle to fight off the worrying thoughts, they find me everywhere.

Im sure since the moment I found out I was pregnant my worrying skills have surpassed that of the greatest worrier that ever lived. Now my daughter is 1.5yrs old, Im sure Im gaining strength and I just may go down in history as the greatest worrier, EVER.

I worry about her teething, her skin (she has eczema), her habits, the tantrums she throws…I worry about the way we live our lives, am I truly giving her the best I can? Should I be out there learning more, taking her to more places, what am I meant to be doing!

Ive tried all sorts of things to tame this monster and it scares me to think this is just the beginning, theres school years, teenage years and the rest to come yet….babyhood and now the beginnings of toddlerhood have created in me some wonderful things, now I just need to get rid of this Worrier I seem to be training in me!

I know exactly what you mean. It's like the worry compounds the older your child gets. It must be a mother thing. Seriously.
